Robert Flournoy (1763-1825) was born in Virginia. He married Mary Willis Cobb in 1794. Flournoy was a Captain in the 1st Georgia regiment of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Robert J. Brewer, a former seminary student, holds a master of fine arts degree from the Chicago Art Institute. He came to New Mexico in 1974 to earn summer credit.
